March Forth on March Fourth!
March 4th is National Grammar Day in the US, so it’s a great time to round up the 10 best‑loved grammar posts on ESL Library’s blog!
No matter the teaching or learning style, grammar remains essential to good communication. A solid foundation of grammatical knowledge helps learners speak and write effectively.
I happen to love grammar, though I realize I might be in the minority! I’ve found that telling my students why grammar is so important, along with clear charts and examples and a variety of practice activities, helps them want to make the effort to improve their grammar. We also have many free teaching tips and activities on our blog that will help make grammar much more enjoyable to teach and learn!
Here are our top 10 blog posts that have been referred to hundreds of times over the years. Most posts include teaching tips, charts, examples, and practice activities.
